Hello sugarplums! Tuesday was a surprisingly productive yet relaxing day, and it was certainly full of yummy foods to please an undying hunger.

Having learned my lesson last week, I set my alarm for 8 a.m. Tuesday. I don’t have classes, but being up at 8 makes me feel more comfortable with the rest of the day and I feel like I actually have a day left. Breakfast was roll-my-eyes-into-the-back-of-my-head, tilt-back-my-noggin, smile-with-pleasure-and-moan good. Take that, Yoplait commercials. A look:

In the bowl: 1/2C fat free plain yogurt, cinnamon, strawberries, blueberries, flax, kamut puffs, Nature’s Path Optimum Blueberries and Cinnamon, drizzle of Naturally More p.b. Naturally More is perfect for drizzling. I don’t even have to heat it in the micro. A closer look:

I can haz more?

I can haz more?

While I ate I wrote a post and then read all a ya’ll’s for a while. I was having some, uhh, tummy issues this morning so I was a little slower getting out the door than I originally had planned.

At 11:15 a.m. I left mi casa and strolled to the gym, which is a bit longer than a mile away. I always enjoy the walk to and from the gym. During the walk there today, however, I was a complete zombie! I wanted to curl up and sleep. I pushed through that feeling to have a killer 45-minute elliptical session, many an ab workout and some push ups and dip things. You know what I mean– when you have your hands on a bench behind you, legs stretched out front and you dip down. Clearly, my workout vocab is lacking.

On the walk home I noticed a huge change in my mood. I was happier and more energized. Why do I only work out three days a week? Whatevs. I refuse to work out on weekends for some bizarro unknown reason.

I showered my stank off, dressed and made lunch. This was an inner struggle. Crack wrap. No crack wrap. Crack wrap. I had an un-cracked crack wrap. That is, it had the main components: Flat-out, hummus, your choice of cheese. To it, I added bread n’ butter pickles and lettuce. It was ungriddled. I just wanted the crunch of that lettuce!

I loved this wrap. The lettuce stayed nice and firm this time. I also tried to make my fruit half as pretty as Sharon does.

I took my sweet time make-uping and blog reading. This current batch of nails is doing so well that I had to paint them! Here I am hand modeling with my cheapie cellular device:

At some point in the nail-painting process, I received an email from my summer roomie! Charlotte sounds lovely. She graduated from UC Berkeley last year and currently works for PETA. To try to impress her, I told her my work background: I worked at Olive Garden last summer. So there.

Before heading out the door, I was reading Courtney’s thoughts on trying to reduce her sugar intake. Inspired, I had this snack:

Fig Newman. And more hand modeling.

Fig Newman. And more hand modeling.

I finally high-tailed it to the Scripps lab to work with Adobe Illustrator. On my way there, I was walking, minding my own business and thinking that I really needed to pee. I was awoken from my thoughts when I heard this:
-“Dayyum girl!” “Heyyy!” “Mmmm Mmmm.”
I was–how shall I say this eloquently–eye-screwed (?) up and down and whistles were thrown my way. Dudes, you are a foot away from me. You must have some balls to do that. I have no clue why they did this. I was wearing a Gap sweater MamaJ deems too mommy even for her, ridiculous sunglasses, jeans and my backpack. Sexy, right?

I had no clue what to do. I just walked and laughed. The Scripps building wasn’t much farther away, and I was thankful to find a clean potty. For a couple hours I settled into my info graphics package. I created a page about U.S. organic food sales in 2005. There is no good reason as to why I chose 2005. Now that I think about it I probably should change that. Too late!

My tummy was talking to me the entire walk home. I ate celery while I waited for the roomie to clean dishes and clear some counter space. Kidlets, thanks to all your help, I successfully cubed a mango:

I did it!

I did it!

I gnawed on the pit and skins to prevent me from eating the components of my dinner whilst cooking. Because I basically want to be her, I tried to make a GlidingCalm dinnah:

Dark picture- sorry! Mango and refried bean and veggie glob

Dark picture- sorry! Mango and refried bean and veggie glob

Honestly, I didn’t re-read GC’s directions for making one of her refried delights. In my pile that looks like it’s already been digested for me: onion, green bell pepper, okra, about 3/4 C refried beans topped with salsa and cherry toms. I feel as though I missed something. The fat free vegetarian refried beans weren’t as flavorful as I had expected, but I devoured that dinner in minutes. This is when a feeling of “why the heck am I still hungry?” set in.

To fix this, I finished the S’mores ice cream. Thank goodness it’s gone now (SO GOOD). That kept me full for 20 minutes, and then I had two of these:

Pumpkin Carob Naturally More Wasa cracker

Pumpkin Carob Naturally More Wasa cracker

The crackers were scrumptious. Not filling. What finally did the trick? Five pounds of cereal. Okay, I actually have no clue how much cereal I ate. I just kept refilling that baby coffee mug until my tum told me, “WHOAH, you’re good now.” Happy belly, happy Kailey.

I watched the finale of New York Housewives after my SnackFacing. I am so sad the season is over. While I’m pumped for New Jersey, the NY women are somewhat comforting to me. Sometimes I turn them on in the background just to keep me company. Oh wow, that sounds creepy, but I swear it’s not.

Later, MisterMan stopped by for a quickie.

Not that kind! He literally stopped by for, like, 5 minutes to say hello. We also watched a bit of Unwrapped about fried pickles. Yes, please!

Wednesday is a long day: clas 9-11, 1-3 (AH! Midterm), 3-5 (AH! must turn in my ugly info graphics project), 5-7 and practica 8:30-10 (AH! Audition for a song I reallyreally want to sing!). Lovepies, I hope your weeks are going well and that humpday is hump-filled. Day-yum. No she di’int.

Ciao for now,

I started writing you this same comment when I was at school today supposed to be looking up mormons for a world religions project so I thought it was appropriate to be commenting you when you are wearing a sweater that mormons (and I) would wear…BUT! The schools computer “cookies” wouldn’t let me send it! But dzayum shawty you must have been looking fly for all those hollas!

  21. Day-yum this post was such a perfect little way for me to take a break! Now it’s snacktime meaning more blog reading will continue, BUT….yours was the perfect kickoff to a 20 min blog-reading QUICKIE!

I love that you workout 3 days a week, you get your gnarlyyy sessions in those couple days and get the job done! You don’t overdo it! And then you get to relax on the weekends!

I also had a similar yogurt mess this morning, and oh baby….it was good!

That wasa cracker, pumpkin, naturally more snack!??! Oh kailey, that sounds like pure genius, pure deliciousness! Hope you have a good Thursday love-a-doveee!

  22. that wasa looks mm mm good!!!

and you are so sweet to shout me a holler on the bean dish. I usually add some cumin and coriander and pepper to my beans. THOSE SPICES MAKE THE DISH, in my opinion, but that’s also just always how my mumsy did it!

    happy thursday loveeeeee
